Daily Progress Highlights Our Seniors!

Supporting Cast Lifts Miller
All opposing teams that have or will go up against Miller School's boys basketball team this season have one number circled on their scouting report -- No. 34. That's the jersey number worn by 6-foot-6 Mavericks senior Andrew White, the state's top-rated small forward prospect who just recently made his future plans to attend the University of Kansas known at the start of the weekend.

If the rest of Miller's games are anything like its Sunday home matinee, opposing coaches had better put a star next to a few more numbers on the roster as well. White's senior classmates, Devon Anderson, Janiel Jenkins and Chase Cannon, all helped lead the way as the Mavericks rolled to a 99-76 victory against Washington D.C.'s Capital City International on Sunday, a game that will be counted as an exhibition.

"Our four seniors have been together now for a full year, and they've all increased their ability, and I believe they're all playing at scholarship levels," said Miller coach Scott Willard. "Any one of them can go off on any given night, and on a night like tonight when we had multiple guys going off, we're going to be tough to beat..."
