1/14/12 - We went down to Hampton, VA to Phoebus High School for the annual Ronald Curry Classic. We got an opportunity to play in the marquee game for the event, and the game certainly did not disappoint! After a slow start, we got a 10 point lead going into the half and held on for the rest of the second half with solid defense and good transition offense.
Andrew White led all scorers with 25 points and 10 rebounds, playing an all-around great game. Chase Cannon and the rest of our seniors hit some big shots and free throws down the stretch to seal the win for the Mavericks.
It was a great experience for us to become a family and are now 10-4 on the season. It is definitely building momentum for our next road opponent - our big rival game - Blue Ridge!
