2/27/12 - After a tough finish in the VIC Championship versus Blue Ridge, the Mavericks have regrouped and are now 0-0. So is everyone else entering the state tournament, and we hope to keep the right side of the column the same as it is now! We have a lot to be encouraged about - our guys have shown great resiliency, have won 4 out of their last 5, and have all the experience that will prove worthy in the upcoming state tournament.
Miller is the #5 seed and plays #12 John Paul the Great (Dumfries, VA) at Alumni Gym on Tuesday 2/28 at 6pm. It will be our last home game of the year, so come on out and support your Mavericks! We will be playing our hearts out for you all.
The winner of that game will go on the road to play...wait for it...#4 Blue Ridge. That game will be on Wednesday at 7pm. Although we are certainly taking one game at a time, and John Paul the Great will be a great matchup, we certainly relish the potential opportunity for redemption.
